Sixers

  • 1:45 4th quarter, Celtics 80-70: Rondo hits a real 3-pointer this time, then gets himself to the line and hits both. Wow. 2:47 4th quarter, Celtics 75-68: Paul Pierce the happiest guy in the building after that last Rondo shot.

  • Jrue Holiday scored 20 points, and Elton Brand had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the tough-and-determined Philadelphia 76ers past the Celtics, 82-75 on Wednesday night to send the Eastern Conference semifinals back to Boston for Game 7.

  • Were never going to get Rajon Rondo. Not you, certainly not me, not the media, not the fans, not most of his teammates, probably some of his coaches eventually, though Doc surely does, not the world. You dont get to have Rajon Rondo.

  • Bubba Chuck was in the house. Dr. J works here now, as it should be. With all that in place, the Philadelphia 76ers pulled off a monumental Game 6 victory, 82-75, in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

  • BOSTON -- For one team and its fans, victory would take them to a place they probably never dreamed of going with a young and incomplete roster.
