Nfl draft

  • After each of the first two nights of the 2012 NFL Draft, I covered teams that impressed me with their patience or timely risk-taking, as well as those that I thought might have made their picks more prudently.

  • Long before the 2012 NFL draft, the Washington Redskins considered themselves big winners when they moved from No. 6 to No. 2 to eventually take quarterback Robert Griffin III – raising the fan bases hopes, not to mention those of coach Mike Shanahan.

  • Adam Gettis' new job? Protecting the 2011 Heisman Trophy winner. The guard from Frankfort was the first local player taken Saturday on the final day of the NFL Draft as the Washington Redskins chose him with the sixth pick of the fifth round (141st overall).
