Republican debate

  • Mitt Romney said at the Republican presidential debate in Jacksonville, Fla., on Thursday night that he was not "terribly politically involved" until he ran for governor of Massachusetts in 2002.

  • Newt Gingrich entered tonight's Republican presidential debate much as the New England Patriots entered Super Bowl XLII. The Pats were undefeated over 18 games. Gingrich was undefeated in his numerous encounters with debate moderators.
