Awake

  • Awake, whose first hour has been available online since mid-February, finally makes its television premiere Thursday on NBC. I have been waiting for this moment since last summer, since the pilot first went out to the press.
  • (Los Angeles Times)
  • The NBC drama, "Awake," debuts tonight on NBC, starring Jason Isaacs as an L.A. police officer who suffers a gruesome accident with his wife and child.
  • (Wall Street Journal)
  • I have a feeling that NBC doesnt want critics referring to Lone Star in their reviews of the promising new drama Awake (10 p.m. EST Thursday, NBC), but its hard to resist at least a few comparisons to that short-lived 2010 show.
  • (Huffington Post)
  • Awake is a show that is difficult to describe in a 21-second TV spot, so it comes as little surprise that the promo ads weve seen on NBC dont do justice to the refreshing, original premise.

  • LOS ANGELES — NBCs new drama Awake has the kind of intricate, high-concept premise that can test viewers. But thats nothing compared with what its producers face.
  • (msnbc.com)
  • Is Awake (10 p.m. on NBC, TV-14) a new cop drama? A psychological thriller? A fantasy? The only thing we know for certain is that it asks us to wonder where real life ends and dreams begin. And thats just for starters.
  • (South Coast Today)
  • NBC's new crime drama "Awake" doubled its chances for intrigue by offering two parallel storylines per episode -- one's a dream, one isn't -- and still is only half compelling.
  • (Bloomberg)
  • Hear that? Thats the sound of your TV alarm clock, reminding you that Awake—NBCs long-awaited and critically acclaimed fantasy crime procedural—finally premieres tonight.
  • (Entertainment Online)
  • Actor Wilmer Valderrama met with Extras Mario Lopez to talk about his new NBC drama series, Awake. Valderramas new role may mean leaving his comedic TV past behind, but that doesnt mean hes lost his sense of humor.
