Kratom

  • CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Kratom is a drug of abuse that has been popular in Southeast Asia, but is relatively new to the United States. The FDA does not currently impose any restrictions on its growth, sale or consumption.

  • State Sen. A.G. Crowe, a representative of Pearl River, is seeking to ban an herbal remedy substance called "Kratom." Crowe has pre-filed a bill in hopes of adding "Kratom" to the list of controlled dangerous substances—as it should be.

  • Empty bottles of cough syrup were found in a garbage bin in front of the building. They were used for making 4x100, an illegal drug made by mixing kratom leaves and cough syrup, the report said.
